Turid Backe-Viken, Mayor of Trysil

Mayor Turid Backe-Viken is a well-known face in Trysil, and is always on the go, both during and outside working hours. Her favorite trip is Åsrunden. It is a round with varied terrain. If you have plenty of time, you can buy waffles at Skorkoia. In the evenings with a headlamp, you can walk all alone. The round is approx. 12.5 km and then you can add the round around Korsberget and get twice as long a lap if you want.
Gunn Marit Nybrenna, Accountant at Accountor

Gunn Marit is an active lady, and is often seen on the cross-country trail. Her favorite trails are in her home area around Vestby. The "Jerpen round" and the "Trysilsetra round" are her best tips for those who want to go a little longer rounds. The Jerpen round is approx. 14 km and the Trysilsetra round is approx. 22 km long.

Both rounds are trails that are driven up with a scooter, but with a scooter committee that does a great job, there will still be nice trails to walk in, says Gunn Marit. And if you want some peace and quiet, it is a good alternative to the trails in Trysilfjellet. The Jerpen round is steep up and steep down again, and with narrow scooter tracks, it can sometimes be a little challenging, but you should have a little excitement in life!
The Trysilsetra round also has its climbs, but they are slacker. From the Trysil-setra round, there are also tracks up to the cross-country trails in Trysilfjellet/Grønstad, so here there is the opportunity for even longer trips.
Bjørn Burås, Sports Teacher at Trysil Upper Secondary School

Bjørn Burås knows the cross-country trails in and around Trysilfjellet better than most. Bjørn highlights Brune Høgda as his favorite trip.
I park at Håvi or at the intersection Vestbyvegen (Grønstad), depending on the traffic. The trip is approx. 14 km, suitably hilly and nice views of the mountains. Can easily be combined from Ole G round trip, and park at Trysilfjellet Arena, then it will be exactly 30 km. The trip is suitable for the vast majority of people who have basic skiing skills, and who are in shape to walk 14 km. There are no steep hills up and some cool, slightly steeper slopes down. The trip takes about an hour, depending on the conditions and shape.
Anja Holmøy Aamold, Business Manager in Trysil Municipality

As a westerner, Anja thrives best on a mountain or a hill, and then preferably on mountain skis. - The nicest summit hikes I have done in Trysil are to Drevfjellet and Skjærhøa in the east of Trysil, and Kampflåhøgda in Trysil-Knut's mountain world. The bump mountain in the full moon was also a great experience, says Anja.

- If I'm going on a cross-country trail trip, I often end up in Ås, but the round around Trysilfjellet is also very nice! Then I park at Skihytta and walk trail 3 to Grønnskaret, further over Lågfjellet and to the R-area in Fageråsen. From there, I slide trail 11/12 down to Skistar Lodge, and like to have a cup of coffee there, before the trip continues on trail 10 across the slalom routes, on the upside of Knettsetra, and on to Skihytta again.
The trip is about 13 km and is suitable for most people who have done a lot of cross-country skiing. The reason why I think this round is nice, is that you get to feel a little bit of the pulse in Trysilfjellet, without being on alpine skiing. If you want a slightly longer trip, you can also go on the round around Skurfjellet, then the trip will be 4.3 km longer. Have a good trip!
