Hiking trail 38 - Skurufjellet
The path is asphalted for the first 400 metres, followed by 1.1 km of gravel path. The rest of the route follows trails through the beautiful countryside, where you can really enjoy the feeling of walking in the highlands!
On the mountain itself, the path forks and you can choose to head for Skurufjellstjønna or carry on to the peak. We recommend that you finish the climb to the peak first, and then make your way to Skurufjellstjønna, which is the perfect place to take a break.
From the peak, there is a magnificent view out over Trysilfjellet mountain to the east and a fine view to the south - showing just how close the mountains are to the centre of Trysil!
Skurufjellstjønna is a delightful oasis in the highlands, dotted with mountain steps and mountain walls that you can use as shelter from the wind and weather.
From Trysil town center, drive north on fv 26 (4km). Take left, and follow Fageråsveien to Trysil Høyfjellssenter. Toll road (NOK 50)
