Helsesista tests trail biking in Trysil
Tale Maria Krohn Engvik, known as Helsesista, was in Trysil last summer and tested trail biking for the first time. As a person who does not say no to a challenge, she got to experience a lot of mastery and cycling joy in a short time!

Together with cycling guide Maria Theander from Skistar Guides, Tale Maria received good guidance on how to get around on trails with roots and rocks in a safe and good way.
"Hihi, now I'm tired," Tale Maria exclaims, as she takes a 5-minute walk at the pump track in Gullia. Trail biking is a little more than just being present; This is such active relaxation.
New experiences and a sense of mastery
Tale Maria uses nature to relax after hectic periods with a lot of work. By being in nature, she takes care of herself both physically and mentally.
She likes to challenge herself and try new things, even though she is not necessarily top trained, has the right technique and the right equipment.
"I had never dared to cycle on paths in the forest and over rocks before. Guide Maria told me what to think about. It is important to lift your eyes and look far ahead, not down at the rocks. Especially when there was a turn, I had to look far ahead, otherwise I would have ended up in the blueberry heather, but it would certainly have been nice if there had been lots of berries," smiles Tale Maria.

Riding a full-suspension mountain bike was also a new experience. Tale Maria's first encounter with this type of bike was very positive.
"The bike just floated over the rocks. I didn't notice anything. It helped me to perform and master, I was so happy, and that's what's so nice about the feeling of mastery – that it makes us happy. After we had practiced for a while in Gullia, we took the lift up to the top to look at the trails there. That's a tip from me. You have to practice in Gullia first, to get a little confident. The next step is to take the lift and test the trails that go from the top of the chairlift. Now I almost sound like an expert," laughs Tale Maria.
Everything in one place
On a visit to Trysil, both private Tale Maria and professional Helsesista spoke out.
"The great thing about trail biking is that you can rent most of what you need in one place. You do not have to buy a bike, helmet and outfit for many thousands of kroner in advance. You can rent a bike and helmet in Trysil, and you can go a long way with training clothes or comfortable clothes for activity, says Helsesista.

– This is training without you noticing, I got really tired! After cycling, I enjoyed myself extra well in the bubbles at the spa at Skistar Lodge Trysil and completely relaxed. It was lovely, and I look forward to coming back to beautiful Trysil, exuberates happy Tale Maria.
The family joined
Speech Maria "Helsesista" Krohn Engvik was in Trysil for one day alone. Later in the summer, she returned once again, this time with the children.
"We haven't done much of this kind of thing together, so a cycling trip in Trysil was good for my little family. But the one day I was alone was important to me. Even if you are a mother and have others to take care of, you need some alone time. It was also fantastic fun to introduce Gullia to the family.

"The best thing about cycling in Trysil is that both children, young people, adults and grandparents find trails that suit their level. There are many nice stops along the way. If you get tired, just sit down and listen to the water, the birds and the wind, and enjoy yourself. Simply feel that life is best outside and it is good for the mind with active relaxation, concludes Helsesista.
