There will be 10 post hunting maps around the municipality throughout the summer and autumn of 2026.
These are: Trysilfjellet/Fageråsen (expedition map), Østby, Nybergsund, Vestre Trysil, Slettås, Ljørdalen, Skåret, Galåsen, Innbygda and Villroa.
All maps will be available by the summer in the Post Hunt app.
To access the map and the post locations, you must download the app Stolpejakten and create a profile.
It is exciting to go post hunting, and the maps in Trysil offer varied terrain and difficulty. There is both beautiful and wild nature in forests and mountains, but also locations close to the city center. By joining the post hunt, you can get to know more parts of Trysil.
Expedition map in Trysilfjellet/Fageråsen
In Trysilfjellet/Fageråsen there is an expedition map with posts placed in mountainous terrain. The map is of such length and character that several day trips are often needed to complete.
100 points are awarded per post visit and 2,500 points for first, second and third completed maps. In addition, you get 5,000 points on completion of map five.
We recommend good shoes, clothes according to the weather and plenty of food and drink.
Green map in the city center
In the center of Trysil, all the poles are green and adapted for families with children.
The concept:
The post hunt involves finding poles placed around the municipality. There is post hunting in many municipalities around the country. So here you can explore new places, both far and near.
The posts can be registered both manually or digitally. Each bar has a letter code and QR code attached to it. For digital registration, either use the Stolpejakten app to scan the post's QR code or enter the letter code.
The post hunt aims to facilitate the activation of both young and old; inactive, school students, cyclists, disabled people and wheelchair users - or those who simply want to get to know themselves better.
The pole hunt is intended to contribute to increased physical activity among most people throughout the country.
HERE'S HOW IT WORKS:
Find poles
The first thing you need to join the post hunt is the map where the pole locations are marked. The map exists in two versions: digitally in the app and physically as a map brochure. The Post Hunt app can be downloaded for free from Google Play or AppStore. Once the map is in place, all you have to do is get out and find posts. There are many poles to be found in four different levels of difficulty*, can you find them all?
*The poles have the following levels of difficulty:
• GREEN – very easy, can be reached by bicycle, stroller, walker and wheelchair
• BLUE – simple
• RED – medium
• BLACK – difficult
Register
You choose how many posts you find. Anyway, it's fun to have an overview of how you're doing! This is done by registering the posts, either electronically with an app or via our web portal, or manually by filling in directly on the map. To register electronically, an account is required. You can create it for free!
How does the actual registration work?
Each bar has a letter code and QR code attached to it. The posts can be registered both manually or digitally. For manual registration, you note the code directly on the map, which you later send. For digital registration, either use the Stolpejakten app to scan the pole's QR code or enter the letter code. You can enter the letter code on stolpejakten.no when you are logged in to your user account. Simple and easy!
