Nordre Trysil Church is the church for permanent residents and cabin owners in the northern part of Trysil. The church is located on a hill in the south of the hamlet of Jordet, and you can see it from RV25 and FV215.
The church was built in the year 2000, and is thus a "young" church in the context of Trysil. It was consecrated on 26 November 2000 by Bishop Rosemarie Køhn. It is Trysil municipality's 2000-year-old building, and was designed by Anders Gunnestad.
Inside, the church has a modern expression, simple and stylish, but a warm atmosphere. With its fine symbolism, it is definitely worth a visit. The pilgrim path goes right past the church, and in the summer we have an open church.
Next to the church is the burial ground for the area. It was consecrated on 25 October 1992 by Provost Sevat Lappegård. The cemetery and mortuary were designed by Lab4 (formerly Arkitektbua as).
