How to survive in the wilderness

This day will give you better insight and confidence to make the best choices in different situations. You need to be in normal health, and we recommend an age limit from 12 years. The trip is well suited for families with older children. No prior knowledge is required – just a desire to become friends with the wilderness!
Summer/Winter Program
Wilderness survival skills are all about surviving in the wilderness. We will spend a lot of time on exciting topics such as:
- Bonfires: How to light a fire and find suitable fire materials regardless of the season
- Navigation: Navigating the wilderness – with and without a compass
- Cooking: How to cook on a fire
- Tracking: Tracking animals and humans
- Hunting and fishing: Making snare, fishing and hunting with simple tools
- Accommodation: Make suitable accommodation (gapahuk)
- Natural Resources: Finding Water and Food in the Wilderness
- Safety with tools: Handle knives, axes and saws safely
After the trip, there will be a small evaluation with advice and tips on how to develop your skills further.
About the guide
Your guide has extensive experience from many countries and has worked with guided tours in hunting and adventure for many years. You will learn from an instructor with special expertise in survival skills!
Practical information
The trip lasts between 6-8 hours and requires no prior knowledge.
A list of what you should bring in your backpack will be sent to you via SMS or e-mail.
Price
Price per participant: 1200 NOK.
Pay by credit card or cash at the meeting.

- Simple food and drinks
- Access to various tools such as axe and knife
NOTE! Transport to the agreed meeting point is not included, but we can book transport for you if desired.
Equipment/Clothing
- Bring a daypack with rain gear, cutlery, a knife, matches, a small carrying net, mosquito repellent and something to drink
- Dress according to the weather conditions; Long pants, long-sleeved shirt and a suitable jacket are recommended
- Waterproof hiking shoes are a good idea

Start at the agreed meeting place. Maps and information are sent via e-mail or SMS.
